The MOVE COP project is a community-focused environmental initiative under PAWACAP, aimed at reducing pollution and promoting waste management during large gatherings and conferences in Tanzania. Using mobile dustbins worn by our trained volunteers, the project encourages participants to dispose of waste responsibly with the slogan: “Taka yako, nafasi yake” (Your waste, its place).
Project Objectives:
Prevent environmental pollution during large events and conferences.
Promote awareness of proper waste management among communities and participants.
Support government efforts in environmental conservation and sustainable practices.
Provide a platform for sponsors and partners to showcase their support through branded volunteer uniforms, banners, and media coverage.
Annual Implementation Plan:
The project will be implemented once a year during selected national and regional events or conferences.
PAWACAP will train volunteers, provide special uniforms (overalls and reflectors), and equip them with mobile dustbins.
Sponsors’ logos and banners will be displayed to acknowledge their contribution and promote their commitment to environmental conservation.
Impact:
MOVE COP aims to instill a culture of proper waste disposal, enhance community awareness on environmental responsibility, and demonstrate how innovative, low-cost solutions can prevent pollution at high-traffic gatherings.
Call for Support:
PAWACAP invites stakeholders, corporates, and community organizations to sponsor the initiative, enabling the purchase of uniforms, equipment, and educational materials to ensure the project’s continued success.
